Founder and Managing Partner
Carlyle Newell is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ingredient Capital Partners (ICP), a specialized advisory firm operating at the intersection of executive talent, strategic advisory, and capital across the global flavors, ingredients, nutrition, food technology, and specialty chemicals sectors.
Prior to founding ICP, Carlyle spent more than 25 years at Boyden, where he built one of the firm’s leading global practices focused on the ingredients and specialty materials sectors. Over the course of his career, he has led numerous high-profile CEO, Board, and C-suite engagements for multinational corporations, private equity firms, family-owned businesses, and founder-led companies.
Through ICP, Carlyle partners with founders, Boards, and investors on executive recruitment, strategic advisory, and access to aligned capital. His work is informed by decades of sector experience, a global network of senior relationships, and an investor’s perspective.
He is also an active investor and has personally invested in several companies across the flavors, ingredients, beverage, and specialty chemicals sectors, including several successful exits.
